Cupcakes are becoming almost as popular as regular cakes lately. There are so many ways to decorate and stack cupcakes to form a theme that we want to add this party idea to our list of birthday or Halloween celebrations.

A cupcake party for Halloween could allow people (adults, tweens or children) to come decorated as a cupcake. It’s fun to think of the different types of cupcakes they can come up with – marble, white icing with polka dots sprinkles, stacked cupcakes, etc. Kids can even help to decorate cupcakes as part of a craft activity. One thing that makes serving cupcakes a better idea than one large cake is that your guests get to choose from a selection of flavors instead of just one choice. You can even bake them in ice cream cones to add some more dimension.  

Invitations and decorations are offshoots of the cupcake theme, including favors like lip gloss in cupcake containers or cupcake place card holders . You can make a giant cupcake puzzle, cut it into small pieces, and have all your guests try to put it together.
